“We all 12 of us found the house fabulous !”

It was very spacious, beautifully furnished and homely. So many interesting artefacts, pictures, books etc on display. As for the kitchen it was equipped with the very best aids one could need, of high quality… very impressive…. We only wish we could move it to the next location we will visit!!

The property

Steeped in history, Old Monmouth is believed to be one of the oldest properties in Lyme Regis and still relishes many old original features giving this substantial home a wealth of character and charm. Delightfully and comfortably furnished to complement its age, this impressive house is perfect for family groups or friends looking to be in a central location close to the beach and the town’s many independent shops and restaurants. The lounge is a truly striking room with inglenook fireplace and high ceiling with beams. A smaller drawing room offers a separate room to retreat to with the wood burning stove giving a cosy feel. A staircase leads to the lower ground floor with a large family kitchen with Belfast sink and range style oven, and an adjoining dining room making this property adequately equipped to cater for up to 12 guests.
